I have not been blogging lately. Foremost, because we have been so busy lately! But, also because we are in several theoretical "waiting rooms" at the current time. ::Sidenote: If you haven't heard Jonny Diaz's single "Waiting Room", please download it, or look it up on YouTube - it is my current anthem!:: The last few weeks have involved some changes that have made us stand back and just take things in versus our normal "keep on moving" lifestyle! So, as we take a deep breath, try to be at peace in our current situations, and try to enjoy the journey, I am being still and silent so that we can be sure to hear God's providence filling our life, and not that of our own doing or desire! God is great, and has certainly blessed us! :)
In other news, Todd and I have had the opportunity to have some great marriage-building activities lately, and we feel so lucky to be married to our best friend! We certainly do not take this for granted, and understand many are not as lucky as us, so we are taking every opportunity to work towards a harmonious lifetime together! Specifically, we are so thankful for our community group of awesome couples who are so uplifting and such a joy to "do" life with...so much so we are constantly intermingling with each other during the week! Also, our church just started a new sermon series titled " Battle of the Sexes" that focuses on God's intention for the roles of women and men. It is such a wonderful reminder as to who I should be as a wife made in God's image. We are looking forward to the upcoming weeks' messages!
Finally, Todd and I recently returned from a wonderful weekend in Atlanta, where we welcomed a new nephew -- we are now "Uncie" Todd and Aunt Beth to 6 beautiful kids! ...and while we were there my Mom helped me jumpstart the journey to scrapbooking our lives for the last year and a half by finally uploading the Creative Memories sbcStudio to my Mac! Now, I just have to use it!!! :)
Now, off to bed so I can kick off another crazy week that includes Todd traveling (again!!).....

Whirlwind!
I am finally home after our "Tour of the South" aka Thanksgiving! We spent a few nights in Charleston to celebrate our first anniversary!! We had so much fun! I still can't get over how fast the last year flew by! Over Thanksgiving we kept talking about how this time last year we were honeymooning, eating Thanksgiving buffet at the Ritz in Maui, and Todd was excited to be going to the Maui invitational! After Charleston, we proceeded to Atlanta for Thanksgiving with my family, and later in the week Kentucky to see Todd's family. We drove back to Atlanta on early this week, and Todd flew out to Phoenix for work. My parents drove back to Orlando with me yesterday, and the rainy, trafficky (spell check does not like this word - HA) drive was beyond miserable! We got home late, and went to bed immediately! To top it all off, all three of us are sick with sinus infections and junk! So, while we were supposed to be playing until Todd gets back, instead we spent the morning at a doc-in-the-box and at the pharmacy. We have been vegging, and watching movies all afternoon! Thank goodness for Thanksgiving leftovers, and not having to cook!
I will post Thanksgiving pics later this week, but in the meantime enjoy the charm of Charleston!

Oh no! The Big 50 !!!
We celebrated birthdays for both of my parents in Atlanta recently! My Dad turned 50 a few days ago, and my Mom follows closely behind with an early October birthday! All of us "kids" planned a surprise dinner at Tam's backstage in Cumming to celebrate!
We weren't sure how to surprise my Mom, as she is the schedule keeper at their house. After some collaborating, we decided to make her think she was in on a surprise for my Dad! She was very surprised to find out she was not as much a part of the plan as she originally thought!
We had a wonderful time, and it was a great last meal of sorts for my family who has become even more scattered across the country since this trip!
I was apparently horrible about documenting this night, and these are about the only pictures we got :'( Sorry, but we have no proof my little brother, Todd, or I were there!

August Birthday Craziness!
We have so many Fall brithdays in my family, and since getting married they have only increased! We recently took a trip to Atlanta, and I came well prepared to distribute the August birthday gifts! Here is the pile of birthday loot ready to pack for the trip to Atlanta!

In the A!!!
Todd is in Orlando, and yay for me being in Atlanta (minus the pollen)! Todd was here earlier in the week for work, but I stayed for a wedding this weekend while Todd works from Orlando. So, I have taken advantage of the girl time while I have been here, even though I really wish Todd could be here. :( I went to a bridal shower on Sunday, had lunch at Taquerila del Sol and then dessert at Star Provisions with a very good friend yesterday, and had girls night with some awesome friends tonight. Tomorrow holds a little bit of shopping with my mom, and of course missing Todd! Oh yes, and I chopped off my hair this morning, and Todd (who loves my hair long) has yet to see it!

So, I am sharing a few pics from girls night at Tin Lizzy's tonight-- one of my Atlanta favorite's! Oh, as well as some pics of the new do! I will be sure to update on the weekend's events! Hope everyone is having a wonderul week! Love to you all! :)
